21 Wine Producers

Twenty-one of the top wine producers from the Vinho Verde region of Portugal flew to Brooklyn specifically for this event. Guests got to taste more than 100 wines, ask questions to experts, and get to know some of the top wine producers in Europe.


Food and Wine Pairings

Anchored by Poppy's Catering, chefs like Esther Choi from Mokbar as well as purveyors El Super, East Coast Poke, Big Mozz and others created amazing pairing combinations with Vinho Verde, ideal for a warm summer evening (especially the People's Pops!). 


An Historic Region

The Vinho Verde region has a long history of wine production dating back to the Romans. The region has seen a lot of change over the years but has especially blossomed in the past 30 years. Even though Vinho Verde is undergoing a fantastic quality revolution -- we honored the past by constructing a 12-foot replica of a traditional vine trellis.


Explore Grapes Indigenous to Portugal

Portugal boasts over 500 grapes indigenous to Portugal and the region of Vinho Verde exclusively works with native grapes. Guests discovered and tasted single varietal bottlings of grapes such as Alvarinho, Loureiro, Trajadura and Avesso.
